A fine choice for a weekend escape in Levens with attractive and competitive value for money. The scrambled eggs and hash browns I had for breakfast were quite nice. A shelf in the shower for soap and shampoo would be helpful to avoid wet floors.

easy access to sizergh castle and beautiful walking trails

I spent three nights here, enjoying the lovely room and fantastic food that made my stay even more special. It was a short walk of just over 2 km to Sizergh Castle and other beautiful walking areas which added to my weekend explorations.

The ambiance was absolutely charming with quirky decor that made me feel right at home! I loved the large, comfy bed in our Deluxe Studio. it was the most cozy night's sleep! Indulging in the delicious locally sourced breakfast while soaking in the beautiful countryside views was the cherry on top!

had a lovely 2 nights at the hare and hounds! the double room was cozy and just the right size. There was a fridge n good tea & coffee stuff. food was amazin, best pizzas ever n the staff were friendly n helpful. breakfast was also really nice, felt like a proper treat! nice atmosphere in the pub too, definitely will return!

Charming atmosphere, spacious unit with a full kitchen and a large living room, made our one-night stay enjoyable, and the scrumptious meals at the restaurant showcased a great vibe that was popular with both guests and locals alike.

During our stay at The Hare And Hounds, we found the cozy room inviting, featuring excellent amenities. The dining experience surpassed expectations with remarkable dishes. the noise from the bar area was a minor distraction at times. a delightful visit to a charming pub atmosphere.

Amazing stay with friends! Loved the double room we had. Perfect size, comfy bed, and a nice shower. We enjoyed hanging out in the tiny guest lounge with books and games, and the views from the terraces were great. Dinner downstairs was fantastic—definitely pre-book it!

The only downside was the noise from outside during the night, which made it a bit hard to sleep sometimes.

Couples who enjoy good food and comfortable stays

We ordered supper there which was delicious. Breakfast was lovely with options like granola and smoked salmon, but that cafetiere coffee in the room was a game changer.

It wasn't exactly a bargain, but I think it was well worth the price considering the experience.

The hot breakfast was quite the riddle—vegetarian but minus the meat? Make it make sense! Ah well, at least the coffee was strong enough to wake the dead.
